The Sheets Family - Leon Sheets Virginia

I started working on our section of the Sheets Family tree after I purchased my first computer, (Leading Edge) with a shareware program to record your family tree information. That same time, I was elected to be an officer of the Sheets reunion. One of the other officers, Mary Jo Sheets Mitchell had been sending out family data sheets to start recording our family information. She also traced our roots back to Jacob Sheets Sr. and had all of this information in a loose leaf notebook. I volunteered to enter the data on the computer. The shareware program quickly became inadequate for us. Therefore, I purchased "The Family Tree Maker" program. I was able to print the collected information in a book form to be reviewed at the Sheets reunion.

I have also recorded the burials within the Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery, Mount Sidney and have the information posted on the church's web-site http://www.salemlutheranva.org/. This web site introduced me to Clifford Sheets from Texas and Brad Sheets from Arizona who visited the web-site for family information.
