From Germany to Virginia: Jacob Sheets of the Shenandoah Valley and his Descendants
More about Jacob
Recorded history tells us that Jacob first Married Maria Veronica Eteris or Edrisch (various spellings) having 8 children with her. Next, Elizabeth Butt having 1 child with her and last, Elizabeth Blackham Plaker with no children by that union.

At one time it was thought he married a Christine Boher but this was the wife of a different Jacob and the mother of a different Henry. Very similar times, places and names but not our Jacob as the researchers have found.  This is a link to the History publication of Hancock county where that original information may have come from about the Boher name. This history contains both family and some that are not family yet easily mistaken.
The only thing certain in genealogy is that new facts are being found and new stories are being told all the time. We have so much more information now than what our past genealogists had. Clues about Jacobs parents and siblings are now being found. Continue or start a new search to help find the family where we all began.
